Food Drives for House of Hope

Helpful hints, resources for running a food drive

House of Hope appreciates your interest in conducting a food drive to help Martin County people in need.

Anyone can hold a drive: Individuals, families, communities, businesses, civic and faith-based organizations, offices, social groups, schools, clubs, etc.

You can organize your drive in any fashion that works for you!

Below and at right, you will find some useful information and resources to help you in your effort.

Contact info

Kathy Carmody, senior program manager at House of Hope, is your primary contact for food drives. She can be reached through the main Stuart office: (772) 286-4673. You can call her to get advice on conducting your drive and/or to arrange for pick-up or drop-off of your collected food. If Kathy is unavailable, please ask for Esther Brito, assistant director.

Drop-off/Pick-up of collected food

House of Hope can provide pick-up of your collected food, especially if it is a large amount and requires the use of our truck. However, if you are able to transport your collected food to House of Hope, it would be greatly appreciated.

Most food is collected at the main Stuart location: 2484 SE Bonita Street, Stuart. Please call Kathy Carmody at (772) 286-4673 to arrange for pick-up or drop-off of your collected food. The main office is typically open 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday for drop-offs, but it would be advisable to double-check.

House of Hope's branch locations also can accept drop-offs. Please check the links below for hours of operation and please contact them for their ability to accommodate the amount of food you may have.
