How You Can Help

HOH acknowledges that all of its services to the poor and needy in Martin County are solely dependent on material donations – food, clothing, furniture, appliances and household goods – as well as financial contributions. Nearly every resource the agency has originates from the thoughtful generosity of community residents – people just like you.

In 2009, the House of Hope will celebrate 25 years assisting the needy of Martin County. The number of people who seek some relief from meeting the basic needs of life today has never been greater. That means HOH must find more people in Martin County who can donate the resources HOH needs--- food, clothing and household goods--- to meet the needs of our neighbors who are facing some basic challenges.

There are several ways you can help us help the poor:

Contribute Financially
Write a check or use the secure PayPal link to donated online – we appreciate all contributions large or small.

Donate Food
Take advantage of the supermarket’s advertised “buy one, get one free” specials and donate the “free one” to HOH…or organize a food drive at your church, civic group, workplace or community – the HOH Pantry Program always needs food.

Donate Clothing, Furniture, Appliances or Other Household Goods
The next time you are cleaning out your clothes closet, replacing your gently used furniture or changing out your appliances, think of HOH – we even schedule appointments for large item pickups!

Volunteer Your Time and Talents
HOH is its volunteers. It could not provide any services without them and it always is in need of more of them. Please consider giving of your time and talent at any of the four HOH locations, it will make a difference in the lives of our neighbors in need.

Consider honoring HOH and the good works it does for this community by providing it with a Major Gift –either now or in your Will or Estate Plan.
