Seacoast lends a hand to House of Hope
PRESS RELEASE DATE: Oct. 14, 2008
Seacoast National Bank supports House of Hope in
many ways, and its latest efforts include a food
drive and a fund-raiser at the bank’s Cove Road
location.
Branch manager Cherise Chesney recently
presented House of Hope with a check for $400
thanks to a cheerful assortment of stuffed
animals and the generosity of staff and
customers.
The stuffed animals are available for a $6
donation and the proceeds support a variety of
charities, including House of Hope. “People love
the toys and the idea that the money goes to
help people,” said Seacoast employee Kristy
Caldwell, who oversees the fund-raisers
conducted at the branch.
The branch also has been running a food drive
for House of Hope, placing a bin in the lobby
emblazoned with “Help the working poor.” The
drive will become part of the WPTV Food for
Families effort during the weeks leading up to
Thanksgiving.
Ms. Chesney, who is a House of Hope board
member, said the fund-raiser and the food drive
will continue indefinitely at the branch, 5755
SE U.S. Highway 1.
