House of Hope moving
its Jensen Beach branch
PRESS RELEASE DATE: DEC. 10, 2010
House of Hope is moving its
branch in Jensen Beach to a new, larger location
that will provide better access for clients
seeking food and financial help as well as
customers seeking thrift store bargains.
The store is scheduled to
open Jan. 4, 2011, at 1090 NE Jensen Beach
Blvd., in Savannas Plaza -- the same shopping
center as Ace Hardware.
“We wanted a location that
was easier for people to find -- those in need
of our services as well as patrons who support
our services through purchases and donations of
items,” said Patrick Slattery, executive
director of House of Hope. “The shopping plaza
is much more of a landmark than our current
location and has plenty of parking.”
In preparation for the
move, branch manager Kathy Foster is holding a
major sale at the current location -- 1313 NE
Jensen Beach Blvd. Most merchandise has been
marked down 75 percent; furniture is marked down
30 percent. The branch will be closed during the
week of Dec. 27 for House of Hope to move into
the new location.
This is the second move for
House of Hope this year. In May, the agency
relocated its Hobe Sound branch from Dixie
Highway to 8994 SE Bridge Road – also for
greater visibility and ease of access.
House of Hope’s main office
and food warehouse is in the Golden Gate area of
Stuart. The agency also has a branch in
Indiantown, at 15516 Osceola St.
House of Hope provides
food, clothing, household necessities, financial
assistance and life-changing case management
services for Martin County residents in need.
All four locations operate a resale store, a
food pantry and connect people to the agency’s
assistance programs.
