Meal or No Meal

Winner
Andy Cumming, right, with Judy Rosenthal.
Two lucky House of Hope
supporters will be taking a cruise thanks to
having the winning ticket in a special drawing
that raised $5,220 to help Martin County
families in need.
In conjunction with its
annual Meal or No Meal Community Awareness
Dinner on Nov. 5, House of Hope offered a chance
to win a seven-day cruise for two people on
Holland America Line.
The winning ticket belonged
to Hobe Sound resident Andy Cumming and the
volunteer who helps event co-chairwoman Judy
Rosenthal iron all the table linens each year
for Meal or No Meal, which draws 200 or more
attendees. When Andy gave her donation to enter
the drawing, she promised that she’d take Judy
with her if she won. She’s holding true to her
promise, and the two women are planning a trip
for the springtime.
For a donation of $20 each
or six for $100, entrants had a chance to win a
cruise to Alaska, the Caribbean, Mexico or
Canada/New England. The cruise was donated by
Holland America Line with special underwriting
by Senior Home Companions.
House of Hope soon will be
conducting another exciting fund-raiser: a
drawing for a $2,000 travel voucher from Jensen
Beach Travel Service. Tickets will be available
in January, and the drawing will be held Feb. 11
at the Hearts for Hope Fashion Show, Luncheon
and Auction at Mariner Sands Country Club. The
prize once again will be underwritten by Senior
Home Companions.
