Press releases
Hobe Sound branch of House of Hope on the
move again
PRESS RELEASE DATE: APRIL 12, 2011
House of Hope’s branch in
Hobe Sound is moving to a larger location,
opening April 26 in the Publix shopping center
at the corner of Bridge Road and Federal
Highway.
The branch will close on
April 15 at its location at 8994 SE Bridge Road,
where it had moved about a year ago. That
location did not prove to be large enough for
the agency’s needs in serving clients of the
food pantry or customers of the resale store.
The new address will be
11690 SE Federal Hwy. -- a storefront next to
the Sherwin Williams store and behind Wendy’s.
The phone number remains the same: (772)
545-9342.
The new site has nearly
double the square footage of the previous
service center/resale store. From this basis,
House of Hope wants to expand its outreach to
pockets of Hobe Sound where the need is great,
but where people may not previously have
accessed House of Hope’s programs – especially
its food bank.
Another positive change at
the Hobe Sound location will be the addition of
a new refrigerator/freezer unit, which will
enable the distribution of fresh and frozen
foods.
Hobe Sound residents in
need of House of Hope services while the branch
is closed should contact the main Stuart branch
– at 2484 SE Bonita St., (772) 286-4673.
All House of Hope locations
will be closed for the Easter weekend, April
22-24.
House of Hope provides
food, clothing, household necessities, financial
assistance and life-changing case management
services for Martin County residents in need. In
addition to its main office in Stuart and the
Hobe Sound branch, House of Hope also has
locations in Indiantown and Jensen Beach. All
four locations provide access to all of the
agency’s service programs as well as operating a
resale store that generates revenue to support
the client services.
