A grant to House of Hope
in the summer of 2009 blossomed into several key
partnerships and the expansion of food services
to an additional 2,000 children and senior
citizens throughout the second half of 2009.
House of Hope received
$32,291 through the Safety Net Challenge – a
matching grant campaign conducted in May 2009 by the
Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin
Counties and its partners, Allegany Franciscan
Ministries, the Children’s Services Council of
Palm Beach County, and Quantum Foundation.
Funding from the campaign helped House of Hope
reach out to at-risk people at the Council of
Aging and the Boys and Girls Clubs during 2009,
and a program continues with the Boys and Girls
Clubs in the summer of 2010.
