Annual Hearts for Hope Luncheon Celebrates 20th Anniversary

House of Hope’s largest fundraiser celebrated its 20th year Jan. 31, 2019, at Piper’s Landing Yacht and Country Club in Palm City. The sold-out event featured a gourmet lunch, complimentary mimosas, unique raffle baskets, pop-up House of Hope thrift boutique, and the Growing Hope farm stand.

House of Hope CEO, Rob Ranieri’s presentation took guests on a milestone-studded journey from the agency’s humble beginnings to current day accomplishments including several upcoming developments for House of Hope’s nutrition initiatives and vocational training offerings. The crowd applauded recent successes including the Golden Gate Center for Enrichment’s first year of operation, the first harvest of the East Stuart Community Garden, and phase two of construction beginning at the Agricultural & Vocational Production Farm in Palm City.

A cornerstone of the Hearts for Hope Luncheon, the coveted Diamonds by Terry Special Drawing delighted guests and inspired many contributions in hopes of winning the gorgeous custom-designed pendant. This year’s generously donated treasure valued at $3,850 featured a heart-shaped wreath of yellow sapphires and purple accents surrounding a brilliant round 1/4ct diamond.

The Pedersen Family Foundation returned as Grand Benefactor and was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation for their many years of substantial support. Additional sponsors included Lorraine and Andrew Popky, HBKS Wealth Advisors, Johnson Honda of Stuart, Straticon Construction, Jim and Elaine Matts, The Firefly Group, Molly Maid of the Treasure Coast, Martin Health Systems, Deborah Lovequist, Mike and Marie Elms, Bolder BARRE & Fitness and the Wolcott Family Foundation, Mark and Dina Roosth, and Diamonds by Terry.
