House of Hope's Serve Some Hope Tennis Tournament hosted at Harbour Ridge was a huge success!

Local tennis players Serve Hope to empower Martin County residents

The Serve Some Hope Charity Doubles Tournament hosted by Harbour Ridge in Palm City set record numbers in both competitors and funds raised thanks to all involved. Proceeds from the three-day event benefited House of Hope, supporting the agency’s mission to empower Martin County residents to overcome hunger and hardship.

The tournament opened with the Serve Some Hope VIP Party and Pro-Am competition Friday, Nov. 2 where the torrential rains canceled the Pro-Am but shifted gears toward a cozy soiree overlooking the Saint Lucie River from the Dockside pavilion. Over 100 party attendees enjoyed gourmet Italian dishes expertly prepared to order at Harbour Ridge’s sizzling pasta bar.

Serve Some Hope attracted more than 100 players from three counties who competed in Men’s and Ladies divisions levels 3.0 to 4.0. Players filled the Lakeside Club’s eight Har-Tru tennis courts and stadium exhibition court which offered premium spectator areas for the crowds of friends, fellow competitors and local residents supporting the charity tournament.

This year’s triumph would not have been possible without the dedicated efforts of the hardworking volunteer planning committee, House of Hope volunteers, dozens of local tennis players, attentive Harbour Ridge staff, and expert tournament management by director of tennis, Fabio Vasconcellos.

The following sponsors were integral to the success of the 2018 Serve Some Hope Charity Doubles Tournament:  Espinal, Stern & Whittington at Morgan Stanley, John and Linda Lowenberg,  The Lichtenberger Foundation, Manatee Pocket Yacht Sales, Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Robert Erneston Produce, Peter Burwash International, Cheney Brothers, IP Blue, Brigite and John Babine, Stuart Insurance, C.O.R.E.
