St. Lucie’s first ‘Dare to Care’ event to spotlight countywide poverty

House of Hope will host its first “Dare to Care Poverty Simulation” in St. Lucie County on Oct. 2, giving participants a firsthand look at the challenges faced by families living at or below the poverty line. The interactive event highlights that 51% of local households fall under the ALICE survival threshold and aims to build empathy and awareness around the realities of poverty.
